My girlfriend and I wanted to upgrade to a bigger and nicer pool this year. Previously, I've had an Intex pool and then 2 Coleman pools. Mind you, the construction of these prior pools was much faster and easier, but the quality and durability of them were sub par. Needless to say the framework and poles were nearly always completely rusted out.
My girlfriend found Laura's post on FB marketplace selling a 24' above ground pool, and I reached out to her to find out the specs. Laura responded back a couple hours later (she's a very busy hard working lady), and told me that she was selling "just the pool". Again, having only Walmart Coleman and Intex pools in the past, I didn't know exactly what that meant. She explained that the "pool" is just the framework and steel walls, and that the liner is sold separately. This was very good information, and I was happy that she was very up front in every question I asked.
After finding out that the least expensive liner we could get for this pool that she could find was around $550, we were sad by this, and about ready to give up on buying this pool from her because of our budget. But she was so kind, and actually gave us a free pool liner that she had in her Warehouse (a previous customer of Laura's wanted a different style liner so she gave it to her).
Laura messaged me back, thanking me for my service in the military, and stated that she believes in "paying it forward", and that she's been very blessed. The only thing she asked was that one day, when we have the means to do so, was to bless someone else by "paying it forward". ❤️
My girlfriend and I spent an entire weekend leveling the ground (since our prior pools always had a low spot). The next weekend we got some of the framework up but ended up having to stop because it rained for a week straight here. After the ground dried out we got the pool walls up and liner in (we followed all of Laura's instructions to the letter). We filled it up on Sunday, and installed the "plumbing" (hoses, pump, sand filter) yesterday.
We are super excited for this summer, and are so THANKFUL for all of Laura's help, and for her being so AWESOME! Now we just have to get all the leaves and tree crud out of the pool that blew in from all the wind while we were filling it. 😂
